Can Richard Marx and Daisy Fuentes save the world?

Russia sure has been in the news a lot lately. For a country that has such a big place in the world politically and militarily, it's kind of astounding that Russia has so little influence on the world culturally, especially compared to the U.S., which has a strong cultural influence in just about every country in the world via movies, music and television, in addition to international chains like Starbucks, McDonald's, 7-Eleven, etc. Like, what foods is Russia most known for? Borscht and beef stroganoff? Granted, both are not bad, but that's not too impressive. Vodka's really the biggest thing they've got going for them. Because of this, you have to think that Obama's crack about Russia not producing "anything that anyone wants to buy" had to sting ole Vlad Putin at least a little, right? The truth does hurt, after all.
