Matthew McConaughey jumped into a pit of cobras

Because she's been out of the public spotlight for a little while now, it was easy to forget the impact that Mary Tyler Moore had on television and, in turn, on American culture. Her passing today was a reminder that she was a role model and an inspiration to a generation of young girls, many of which probably took the streets this past weekend in the various Women's Marches that took place across the globe. She made a lasting impression on the world, and she will be missed.
